Description

Doug & Amie Weir

After graduating from Michigan State University with management degrees, Doug and Amie Weir moved to North Carolina to pursue careers in purchasing, hoping to climb the corporate ladder to success.

Doug began his career at IBM Corporation in Raleigh, North Carolina, and Amie went to work for Sara Lee Corporation in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. However, they quickly realized that a career in corporate America meant limited time for family, being controlled by a boss, and forty years of alarm clocks and traffic jams. With the help of their business mentors, they began chasing a new dream of financial freedom.

They started their business at 22 and 24 years old, both single, but wanting the lifestyle of other business owners who took their dreams seriously. Doug and Amie made the decision to go for it. For a few short years, they worked hard, delayed gratification, and focused their spare time hours helping others succeed so that they themselves could be financially independent. Through their efforts, Doug and Amie were able to leave their careers in corporate purchasing and now enjoy the material rewards of their successful business.

Amie can be seen riding around town in her sporty 996 Cabriolet Porsche, while Doug prefers to keep his business appointments in their black Cadillac Escalade. Their business travels take them to Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the Bahamas, and the British Virgin Islands.

Today, the Weirs are proud new parents of their baby daughter, Chrissa, and are building a three level waterfront estate in Mooresville, NC. Life for this couple is exciting and, as Doug adds, “We are just getting started.”
